OUR STORY

We are a group of passionate individuals from the Town of Smiths Falls, Canada who are working to welcome families and individuals looking to resettle to our community from the Ukraine.

Known as the Smiths Falls Welcomes Ukraine committee, we’re committed to investing our expertise, time and resources in order to assist Ukrainians. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

There has been a quick response from many local businesses and the Community Health Centre to support in a variety of ways, displaced families arriving as needed.  Smiths Falls and our area has many virtues, and generosity is definitely one. We know that there are housing challenges in our Town, and we will work through them in time. We are confident that we can move forward as our community and our school educational system will benefit greatly from settling Ukrainian families here.
